12:06 PM - taiwan
wheee. frankly speaking, i didn't think that i would really enjoy myself at taiwan. but, i did. i kind of like the culture there, and weird as it may seem, if i would ever, ever think of emigrating, (of which i wont, of course), taiwan is not a bad choice. yes yes, i know you'll have to communicate in chinese, READ the un-simplified chinese signs and all, but i had fun trying to figure out what those words are. hahaha.
and, NO LITTER. also, while waiting to board the trains, they actually queue up NEATLY in front of the door, slanting in one direction to allow passengers to alight. i was pretty amazed. after all, i got around like the locals do (not like tour groups) so i got to experience how life is like there. buses, trains, railways. it was fun, i must say.
slurpee there's like, what, S$0.80 for a medium cup? singapore's 7-11 over charges for ice and flavouring, i tell you. clothes bought are all below S$20. =) but then again, shopping wise it was quite disappointing cos my family aren't into shopping. i ONLY bought 5 pieces of cloth. =(
alright, time for PICtures!
first up,
TAICHUNG

we stayed at my dad's friend's house. he's currently not living there, you see.
and mind you, it's a four storey villa. shiok, i tell you.

view from the second floor.

see the high speed rail (bullet train)? it passes by every 10 to 15 minutes. 300km/h.
also from the second floor.

Next up, HUALIEN
seems like we're so near the clouds, huh? hah.

and this is where the beauty begins: Taroko Gorge...

there, that brick building's the hotel which we stayed for two nights.

it was so magnificent, so breath-taking, i wish i can just sit there and enjoy the cool air and beautiful scenary, watch the rapids, and hear the sound of water flowing, gushing.
too bad, time passes so quickly when you're enjoying yourself.
left for
TAIPEI CITY next.
go on, SALIVATE. hahaha

taipei 101. nothing much, really. since i didn't go to the top, of which you have to pay what, $18?

and now, JUST FOR LAUGHS.

and on the train.. lol.

toodles!
