5:46 PM -
the past week has been filled with lots of events.. both good and bad, fun-filled and tension-filled.
cant really rmb what happened on mon, tues and wed.. guess it was nothing much thus the insignificance.. but thursday. oh well. i dont know whatever happened to cos this major split across the class. maybe i do. ok, i guess i do know why it has became like this.
intolerance, unforgivingness, miscommunication, and the list goes on..
but after hearing from michael his reasons in the morning, listening to what happened (adding in a bit of scolding), i went home that day thinking alot. about human nature. about how relationships and friendships are so fragile. and why war goes on like nobody's business now.
what i heard really made me disappointed. not in him, but in life. if you do this to me, i'll do it back to you? is this how life should be? is life all about revenge? is it that difficult to forgive and forget? ok, i admit that it is not easy to forget what ever happened, but all it takes is a forgiving heart and an open mind, right? cliche, it may seem, but it's definitely true. is it not tiring to bear grudges, to be on bad terms when you see each other 5 days a week, and cast tension in that very classroom that we study and learn in? i dont know. the tension in the world, and intolerance towards others leads to prejudice and discrimination. (GP! haha.)
and i think the problem lies in accumulating all ill feelings, until it balloons and explodes. there's a certain extent to which people can tolerate. but whatever it is, thrash it out and not behave in such a way that it hurts others. no ill feelings attached. this, is in the context of war. unhappy? hold peace talks. though it doesnt seem to work for US and whatever country it is always fighting with, but why go to such an extent of bombing each other and causing harm to innocent citizens? not only that, the rest of the world is affected. economy plunges, import and export prices go up, blah blah blah.
that afternoon, after the GP video which was some how hilarious, (though i didnt see the joke behind some of those that russel peter -or whatever his name is- cracked which got emilyn gasping for air. haha) i was anticipating to go home. then, i got caught in THEIR conversation. the in between people might have translated messages of perhaps the wrong idea - miscommunication. as the chinese proverb goes, hua she tian zu. instead of just drawing a snake as it is, other things get added along the way and it no longer becomes a snake. oh wells. and whats the point of speaking it among yourselves? it wont solve matters, but could make things worse. so, i called denise who was at the waffle shop to come to LT2, where everyone was supposed to thrash everything out, and leave the LT without any more of these quarrels.
at the end of the day, i cant say for sure that things were great, but i cant deny that things were slightly better than before. at least both sides know what the other is feeling right?
and yesterday evening's gathering at dearest mrs koh's house was that wonderful event of the week. i believe we ALL had a great time, right? and it really pleases me to see them having fun TOGETHER.. i was just standing by the study room next to the dining table and caught sam and shu li joking together. and i found myself smiling to myself. spastic, i know, but i couldnt help it! haha. and that big mass of people playing some game together.. but i had most fun with dear little issac, mrs koh's cute youngest son. his eyes were so very round and he's just so cute!!!!!! ahhh!!!! i miss him already. haha. so we played catching- him chasing joan with his rubber spider! hahaha. and when he smiles, my, you could just pinch his cheek. haha. his shyness make me laugh. he'll hide his head in his mother and smile shyly. awwwww.
thank you, mrs koh, for that gathering at your house. we appreciate your invitation (and hope there's more to come!). hahaha.
S04, please stay united as we were just last month, where we cheered together as one whole class during sea sports carnival. we make the world go round! =)

9:30 PM -
this week has been like a ride through a rollar coaster. it passed really fast, but it was long and filled with so many obstacles: tests.
tuesday: chem -i'm 100% sure i flunked it.
wednesday: maths -i think i got ZERO. i didnt even manage to prove ONE. goner.
thursday: GP compre test -i ended up analysing the passage for AQ. i was clueless! rah.
sat MORNING: econs essay test and BE insights test. the essay test probably died.
van and i have been having ridiculous conversations about shoe shops. haha. its meaning, only the two of us know. ;-) haha. but, let me stress again, van, that i never had a shoe shop and it never existed. there. i will be back soon. pretty soon. =)

8:16 PM - chronicles of NARNIA
wrong will be wrong, when Aslan comes in sight, At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no moreWhen he bares his teeth, winter meets it deathand when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.thoroughly enjoyed this national day holiday. before i go on...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!
I love Singapore. =) hahaha.
alright. back to my holiday. watched
the mummy returns again.. and
the chronicles of NARNIA!! i love that show. i read the book before and was so enchanted by it... i watched it on wednesday night.. went for dinner after watching the parade on television, and reached home at around 10.. then watched narnia till 12 plus. i love that show!!!!!!! haha. and i was still enchanted by it, and read the whole book again the next morning.
met up with dear nat and didi.. oh wells. it is hardly we've got time to meet up.. and didi, watch your round, chocolate balls. hahaha. study hard, nat! stop talking
to your phone. like some lunatic. lol.
and i still despair over not being able to meet up with my dearest ever missy steph and marianne. hope you're all doing fine. and of course nae and jolie the clowns. =) those times we had...... those trips to the evergreen ice cream man. skipping across the parade square like little kids. rushing back to school for supplementary lessons. SIGH.
oh, i saw jolie hwee. haha. with grace and christianne.
had service learning at St. Andrew's Community Hospital.. had a good time there.. chatting with the elderly.. listening to their stories..
van mentioned that she has some connection with the elderly and prefers working with them.. i'm fine with working with them and all, but what's different between us is that i feel that connection with children more than that with the elderly.. some how or other, i'm able to communicate with them, regardless of their age. and i'm glad that they enjoy my presence. =) and all of our presence.. kidsRead again 2mr.
ms ng is chasing me to do the board again. so i really have to get started. BLEH.
yup. that's all. BYE.
and the world goes on, round and round, round and round.

10:23 PM -
shall post some pictures of my little charges from kidsRead. they are noisy, but a fun lot. especially botak boy. haha. the noisiest but the most enthusiastic of the lot. and isebelle's cute little shuai ge. he can draw now!! what a sense of achievement, not just for him but for me too. =) and of course pretty li yen. always quiet and very polite. and the rest as well.....

9:40 PM -
whhhheee. am really glad for this short break from school. these 3 days will do me good. haha.
i'm drained, i'm tired. i just dont want to go to school any more. hope the school floods. but then again, i doubt it will ever be affected by floods since its so, so raised. like on a hill. oh bleh. earthquake will be too serious. avian flu is too dangerous. bah. maybe, maybe......
first thing i heard from shuli when i got to school was the darn work that was sent to her by some one. like come on. if my telling him flat in the face that his work was crap, (yes i dont have to repeat again, do i? that your work is CRAP.), does not work, i doubt your nice, refined, controlled anger, 3-message long sms will do any wonders, shuli. seriously no point saying yes i'll do it i'll do it, i'll send it to you blah blah blah, and then sending a load of rubbish. if we wanted rubbish we might as well have gone to the rubbish dump to search for ourselves.
there. i've said what i wanted to say straight in his face. irritated, no more. =)
when i look at the school, i wonder how much have been done to upkeep it.. other then the cleaners sweeping and cleaning and all, everything else was probably left as it was since it was built 20 years ago. the walls are of faded green, the LTs chairs are left broken, and the notice boards are RUSTY and conky.
speaking of the notice board, i struggled 10 minutes with the stupid bowling board to get it opened to no avail. i turned till my hands were red and sore, and screamed at it like some crazy woman but it simply refuses to budge. and van could do nothing to open it either. stupid useless board. and looking at other boards, they were equally rusty and BROWN. ewwwww.
oh HELP. stupid board stupid board stupid board. RAH.
and we were talking about pontianaks during chinese. haha. all because of the text on xiang jiao shu. (rubber tree, i think? haha) dont know why, but we started talking about xiang jiao shu- the banana tree. haha. they sound the same what. lol. and van was on the verge of screaming over non-scary stories. haha.
fri there's service learning.. will be heading to st andrew's mission hospital to chat with the people. in dialect, supposedly. hence, i can predict that we'll all just be nodding our head away at what they say. i can understand, i can speak. but i have to process what i want to say first, so that's quite ridiculous. lol. hahaha.
there's this seminar on sat at hdb toa payoh on community stuff. what ever that is.. anyone whom i know is going (sacians)? then we can meet and catch up or something. JOLIE! are you going? haha. i know you want to date me. =P
good night. =)

8:33 PM - disappointment
mon we had class photo taking. gosh. we took almost two hours! haha. i tell you, we took so long to get ready for ONE picture. so can you imagine trying to take a FEW. poor guy who helped us take.. we randomly asked someone nearby to help us. and we were super fussy. oops. haha. but we want a nice picture right. we all want to look nice and good and presentable. but, alas, the pics all came out with the guys looking like ah bengs. poooof. spoilers. perhaps for the exception of michael, who still looked like a girl. hahaha.

just cant stand how the guys open their legs so wide apart. so UGLY!!!! rah. and we're using this for the year book. bleh.

girls upfront! haha. and i just noticed that dean was trying very hard to be seen. haha! oh! and rui rui was JUST right in front of him.... =D
and van still hasnt sent me the sea sports carnival and panorama ones! boo. send me soon alright? =)
yesterday Wednesday 2nd August 2006: tpjc bowling open.
oh wells. i'm so disappointed with myself. how could i have played so badly. i've never thought of winning it (how to. with all the seniors and all.. ) and just wanted to have fun, but at least fun also must be up to standard right. but noooo. i played like really horribly.. true, i started out fine. but just fine. and as the game went, i totally lost form. all that training seem to have vanished into thin air. i dont know why. i seriously could have banged my head against the wall. -we were next to the wall.
thanks to maggie, didi, niko, joan, chew ping, emily and samantha for taking part! sorry for having to part with your 10 bucks. haha.
carpe diem: me, maggie, diyanah and niko. well. we had fun, together with the other group-
merry and pippin: joan, chew ping emily and sam. all 06S04 peeps! haha. and didi from 06S31.. haha. spirits were high and we were all cheering for each other. next year we'll take part again alright? YAY. =) i'm glad for the enthusiasm that they had.. thank you people!
shall not mention unpleasant, irritating things that a certain someone did. i'm not bothered by it. in fact, you should instead reflect on why u could only watch. it just show so much. though u had a chance in the end, i could care less.
